Man, oh man. What a difference between this and TACP. This is a whole different attitude, and the way TACP should be taught. The colonel welcomed me aboard, introduced me to his officers, and told me straightly that they would teach me to call air strikes. I went straight out to the range to observe, and I found that it all came back to me pretty quickly. When I came back, LTJG Beausoleil gave me the run down on training, then sent me off with MM2 Sotomayor. Both of these guys are SEALs. You really can’t beat one on one training, particularly when you are being taught a war skill from professionals like SEALs. MM2 and I went to a classroom, and he taught me how to call air strikes for three hours. We went through the general flow of the event, then practiced a LOT. Then, he started offering techniques, as well as advice on gear.

Another great training aspect is the fact that I am on the only student here. I have the bombing range and all the airplanes for my training. Personal bombing range and airwing: the gift to give this year.Turns out that Jarret Sonnen was here a few weeks ago. The SEALs both knew him, and had no idea he was a genius.
