Hillah, Iraq.

I knew that I would regret the spicy stir fry and Indian curry. I had no idea that I would pay for days. Today’s entry is not exciting, as there is not much exciting about making multiple trips to the head in a single day. Let me again offer my sincere thanks to my Beautiful Bride and parents for sending oh so
silky American toilet paper.

I will offer up this story so you don’t feel cheated. As I was walking to the head, a Lance Corporal was the other way. Another Lance Corporal ran up behind him, kicked him, and then ran away. Of course, a rock fight ensued, which devolved into a wrestling match, but I couldn’t stick around to find out who won.

We are getting back into the swing of things, mostly to keep busy, but also show the visiting Green Berets how we do business. We are planning an air assault on two objectives that are remotely located. It is impossible to surprise them because any vehicle traffic out there will make the bad guys hide. Our plan is to get some helicopters, and assault the bad guys from the air. Once we surprise them and secure the objectives, we will bring in the humvees to search the area and take bad guys back to the jail. I called the helicopter squadron that we want to work with, and they are very, very interested in the mission. They told us exactly who to call. I called That Guy, and he said that he wasn’t exactly the guy to talk to. However, he agreed to pass on our request to the proper authorities, and have them call us.
