17 April

San Diego, CA.

Keith and I spent the day lounging about. This suited me just fine as this is the first free time in a few weeks that has not been occupied with serious gear purchasing or other mobilization activity. I really like the two pairs of socks I bought, so I bought three more pair, as well as a stereo to mono adaptor for my X Box.

Drank Trader Joe’s coffee and snacked on Trader Joe cashews as we spent the afternoon watching Deadwood (great show!). At three in the afternoon, the encrypting certificate for IMAP mail expired. What an unlucky synchronicity. It took me a couple of hours to go through the annual flailing exercise to generate a new one. This time I actually took some notes, and left them for myself so it will be smooth next year.

Had excellent Chinese food with Keith. He speak Mandarin from his time in Teipei, and it was cool to hear him ordering in Chinese.
