13 April

Fallon, NV.

Believe it or not, the whole event was cancelled due to snow. I used the time to take care of some admin stuff, as well as buy the last bits of gear I needed. The exchange had plenty of Under Armour shirts at a great price. They were highly recommended by MM2.

Surprisingly, it is very hard to get dog tags made. I needed another one per mobilization guidelines, and my Beautiful Bride wants a set of mine while I am gone. The petty officer in Personnel called every command on base, as well as the National Guard unit in town, with no luck. He finally found a National Guard unit in Reno with a machine, but good luck coordinating that.

The magic of the internet saved me. Two minutes of Google goodness and $6 later, I had a set being mailed to me. How did people get stuff done before internet?
